A community oriented and academically gifted student; a creative design student and active beach goer; a postgraduate student focused on the well-being of international students are among the student winners of this year’s awards.
Dedicated professional individuals and their work within education programs and initiatives that have focused on supporting international students’ physical and mental well-being, language confidence, appreciation of other cultures and building bridges in interactions between international students and Indigenous Australians were recognised as winners of the program awards.
An outstanding individual with a long and highly successful involvement with Western Australia’s international higher education activities has also been acknowledged for his life-long contribution to this sector.
The winners in all 6 categories were announced at StudyPerth AGM and End of Year Event on 30th November at Aloft Perth, in front of 200 attendees, recognising the contribution of international students, education providers and professional staff dedicated to supporting the international student community in WA. WA International Tertiary and VET Student of the Year winners were also announced on 24th November at StudyPerth Ambassador Farewell & Launch event.
The Award Ceremony was hosted by the CISWA President, Callum Cowell, and the awards were presented by the sponsor representatives.
