2024 WA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE YEAR
The CISWA WA International School Student of the Year Award is about recognising the significant contribution that international students make to the Western Australian community.
CISWA seeks to acknowledge an international student, who has demonstrated academic excellence and has contributed to enhancing the student experience both in the school and in the community.
In selecting the recipient of this award, the student’s achievements and contributions during their time as an international student in Australia are taken into consideration. Additional weight is given to any activities which promote interaction with Australian students and with the local community.
The achievements and contributions of the winning student will be promoted through the education sector’s peak bodies, higher education media and the CISWA website.
This award is sponsored by the Department of Education, and the winner is presented with a certificate, trophy and $500 prize money.

2024 WA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENT OF THE YEAR
Awardee: Kristawan (Bebell) Sujivarodom

Bebell, a student from Bangkok, Thailand, has been a student at Mount Lawley Senior High School since 2023 and had an exceptional impact through her volunteer work and leadership. Highlights of her contributions include serving as a StudyPerth International Student Ambassador, participating in the City of Stirling LEADS program, and managing projects with the Rotary Interact Club to promote community and international understanding.
Bebell’s achievements include excelling in the Law Society’s Mock Trial Competition, chairing a panel at the launch of the Department of Education’s International Education Program, and featuring in a testimonial video for prospective international students. She was also the recipient of the Mount Lawley Senior High School Jade Wei Award in 2023 for outstanding academic performance.
Bebell was the outstanding applicant for the 2024 International School Student of the Year Award, being rated most highly by the selection panel, particularly in recognition of her involvement as a volunteer to improve the experience, health and wellbeing of other international students and the local Australian community.

Selection Criteria
In 500 words or less provide a summary that addresses the below Selection Criteria:
- The student’s contributions and achievements
- Benefits to other students and/or the community of the student’s activities
- All community and volunteer work undertaken
The student must currently hold a Student Visa, Schools sector.
The nominator must be a staff member at the student’s education institution who has worked with the student when performing any of the roles mentioned in the application.
2023 WINNER: Eunseo Lim – Greenwood College
Joe Bontempo, Manager, International Education, Department of Education WA presented the 2023 WA International School Student of the Year Award to Eunseo Lim from Greenwood College.
This year’s winner is Eunseo Lim, a South Korean student completing ATAR Year 11 at Greenwood College. Eunseo is an outstanding mathematics student – she achieved a distinction in the Australian Mathematics Competition and will receive subject awards in her school for the two most difficult maths units in the ATAR.
She is the keyboard player and singer in the Senior Rock Band and has performed in festivals and at numerous community events as a member of the Stirling Community Youth Band. She is very active in her school community where she is seen as a natural leader who is keen to reach out and serve others.
